Online Exhibit
The
name “Main Street” has an iconic, almost mythic
status. It elicits images of mom and pop businesses
and shops found only in your town, of convenience
and comfort in the familiar, and an almost forgotten
slower pace of life. It’s a place to meet, to
gather, to rally, and to celebrate. Andover’s Main
Street has served all these purposes well for over
150 years. Join us as we take a nostalgic look at
the Main Street that was and still is, the plans for
Main Street that never came to be, and a peek at
what the future holds as well.
