An American Christmas Story will
have at its heart a special exhibition of fourteen decorated trees,
with each tree designed around an object or series of objects from
the collections of the Historical Society. Here are just a few of
the inspirational pieces that will be paired with a creatively
decorated tree:
- Beaver Fur Top Hat
- Antique Wedding Rings
- Wooden Mouse & Rat Traps
- Child's Patchwork Pocket
- 19th century handwritten Diaries
& Letter
- Medical Cases & Medicines
- and eight other interesting and
unique items from the Society's collection!
Each tree is being decorated by an
individual or group from the Andover community including
- Andover Fire Department
- Memorial Hall Library
- Andover Historical Society
Volunteer Guild
- Wingate at Andover
- and many more individuals
from all over Andover!
The trees and the accompanying
inspiration object will be displayed throughout the Amos Blanchard
House. Don't miss your chance to see this popular exhibit, enjoyed
by over 1000 visitors in 2008. You can also enjoy the trees while
attending one of our many holiday
events, visit our calendar to
