One Neighborhood, Two Towns:
How a part of Andover became South Lawrence
Sunday, April 22nd at 1pm

Andover Historical's Neighborhood Programs feature three to four speakers, each telling a fun and engaging 15-minute story about a particular part of town.

Join Andover Historical and our friends from the Lawrence History Center as we explore an area of Andover that was purchased to become a part of what is now South Lawrence.

We are pleased to welcome former Lawrence resident and long-time Lawrence History Center volunteer Rick Wentmore who will discuss the development of South Lawrence as well as recount some of his memories of growing up in the community. Lawrence City Councilor Marc Laplante will discuss his research on World War One memorials located in South Lawrence as well as the lives of the men they pay tribute to. This unique, collaborative neighborhood program is not to be missed.

All Andover Neighborhood Programs are open to the public free of charge but reservations are required. To reserve your seat for the Sunday, April 22nd, 1:00pm presentation, please call us at 978.475.2236 or visit One Neighborhood, Two Towns to register online.
